#Cache / Caching

Cache refers to the (internet) memory where files and data can be temporarily stored for later use, to provide faster access to them subsequently. This includes usernames, recent searches, and web pages. It is a concept frequently encountered in web development.

The process of storing (temporary) data to facilitate faster access is called "caching".

#Call To Action (CTA)

A Call to Action (CTA) refers to the next step you want a user to take on your website. It's an element that encourages the visitor to perform a desired activity or action. Examples include subscribing to a newsletter or clicking through to a product-specific page. CTA's are often buttons or text such as "Order Now," "View," or "Contact Us".

#Competitive analysis

During a competitive analysis, you examine how other (similar) organizations approach things. This includes aspects such as the use of specific components on their website, content generation, and product sales strategies. Often, other organizations have already developed and implemented these strategies, making it unnecessary to reinvent the wheel.

#Component

A component is a self-contained element within a website. It is a direct HTML/CSS translation of an element from the design.

#Content Delivery Network (CDN)

A content delivery network or content distribution network is a geographically distributed network of proxy servers and their data centers. The user receives the content from a server that is closest to him, which makes the content load faster.

#Content Management System (CMS)

A Content Management System (CMS) is the system that allows you to easily manage the content of a website. Super Interactive frequently uses WordPress and Statamic, but there are other content management systems, such as Drupal and Craft CMS.

#Conversion Rate

The Conversion Rate is the percentage of successful conversions (completion of a desired action) within the total number of visitors to a website.

Activities aimed at improving the conversion rate are called 'Conversion Rate Optimization' (CRO).

#Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on the hard drive of your computer when you visit a website. They contain information about your behavior on the website, which is then used when you revisit the website. The main function of cookies is to identify returning visitors and provide them with a personalized user experience.

#Crawlers / Crawling

Crawlers are search engine software bots that explore your site to index its content. During crawling, the bot gathers relevant information from your site to include in the search engine index. A website that cannot be crawled effectively will have lower visibility in search engine results. Therefore, it's important that your website is clear and understandable not only to visitors but also to crawlers.

#CSS

CSS stands for 'Cascading Style Sheets'. It is a style sheet language used to define how a website should be styled and presented. It includes information about aspects such as fonts, colors, spacing, layouts, and images, and how they should be applied on the website. Essentially, it provides formatting instructions.

#Customer Journey

An overview of the current/desired scenario and the steps a user will take during interaction with a product or service. It is the journey of the average user from awareness to post-purchase. Before a customer buys a product or service from a company, there have already been many points of contact. These are also called touchpoints.
