KPI stands for Key Performance Indicator. KPIs are variables used to analyze the performance of an organisation, brand, or product. They are used to measure success in general or of a specific action or campaign.

Examples of KPIs include:

  • Number of new customers

  • Number of new website visitors

  • Revenue growth

A useful tool and good way to formulate a KPI is by using the SMART principle.
