AFAS integration
Need website form data in AFAS? GetConnector and UpdateConnector support custom integrations when fields and permissions are set up correctly. Read about the options or book a conversation.
What is AFAS?
AFAS Profit includes CRM and financial administration. An association may keep contacts, subscriptions and other records there, depending on its setup.
Your website need not access all of that. Often the task is narrower, such as recording an enquiry or showing an existing member the right information. The AFAS setup determines which fields are available.
Relevant contact data
Use AFAS contact records where the website needs them.
Less retyping
Process an enquiry without retyping when the connector supports it.
Limited access
Limit the data the website can request.
Changes under control
Decide who can make changes in AFAS.
How do I connect AFAS to my website?
AFAS documents GetConnectors for retrieving data and UpdateConnectors for adding or changing records. An application connects through an AppConnector with suitable permissions and authentication. UpdateConnectors differ in which actions they allow.
Start with the specific process and available connectors. AFAS recommends an import for a large one-off data load, rather than repeated UpdateConnector calls. A private member area also needs its own decision about sign-in and access.
Common challenges with membership systems
How does Super Interactive connect AFAS to your website?
We start with one process, such as a new enquiry or showing member details. With your AFAS administrator we define the fields, connector and permissions for that task.
Then we test a new and existing contact, missing fields and a rejected change. Your team can see which requests reach AFAS and which need follow-up.
