What is WooCommerce?
WooCommerce adds products, variants, cart and orders to WordPress. If your site also runs on WordPress, product pages and checkout can live directly in WooCommerce.
A separate front end has two distinct API routes. The Store API supports customer-facing products, cart and checkout. The REST API manages shop data such as products and orders and requires appropriate access.

How do I connect WooCommerce to my website?
When everything runs on one WordPress site, WooCommerce’s standard pages are often the shortest route. A separate site can display products and send customers to the shop. Showing cart and checkout there requires a Store API integration.
Decide where prices, variants and stock are managed. A product tile on a separate site must not promise a different option from checkout. Use the REST API for managed data; the public Store API does not expose sensitive shop information.
