What is Stripe?
Stripe offers payment products for one-off purchases and subscriptions. Checkout sends customers to a Stripe-hosted payment page; Payment Links let you share a payment route without building your own checkout.
A subscription continues after the first payment. A later charge may fail or succeed after a delay. Your site needs to know which Stripe event updates access, the order or the customer message.

How do I connect Stripe to my website?
For an order flow, your server creates a Checkout Session and sends the customer to Stripe. A session can cover a one-off purchase or a subscription. A Payment Link may be enough for a simpler payment request.
Let Stripe webhooks drive order handling. A landing page can show an immediate update, but it cannot be the only trigger for delivery or access: customers sometimes close their browser before returning.
