Slack integration
Does your team need a prompt after an important action on your website? We can send a focused Slack message with a link to where the work continues. Read about the options or book a conversation.
What is Slack?
Slack is a platform for team conversations in channels. An incoming webhook lets an application send a message to a chosen channel. For your website, that can help when someone must follow up an enquiry or notice a failed process.
A notification is not a replacement for the enquiry or customer record. Keep the details in the source system and send only the context the team needs to Slack, with a link back to the work. Agree who responds to the message.
Alerts for real actions
Send a message when a website event needs follow-up.
The right team channel
Choose the responsible team’s channel during setup.
Less customer data in chat
Share a short summary instead of a full customer record.
A route back to the source
Let colleagues open the original enquiry from the message.
How do I connect Slack to my website?
Create a Slack app with an incoming webhook for a specific website event. Choose the channel where the responsible team works. The website can then send a short message, for example that an enquiry arrived, with a link to its source.
Decide which details may appear in the message. A webhook URL can post to its chosen channel, so keep it secret. Also decide how the team will recognise duplicate messages and what happens if delivery temporarily fails.
Common challenges with communication integrations
How does Super Interactive connect Slack to your website?
We choose together which event deserves an alert and which team owns it. The Slack message gets a clear label and links to the enquiry or task on your website, where the full details remain.
We then look at duplicate and failed notifications. Your team should be able to tell which enquiry needs attention without turning Slack into a second database.
Need help connecting Slack?
Discuss which website event your team needs to see in Slack and who will respond.
