What is Shopify?
Shopify manages the product catalogue, variants, cart and orders for an online store. You can use its built-in storefront or show products on another site through the Storefront API.
For a separate front end, the Storefront API creates a cart and returns a checkout URL. Customers then pay through Shopify. Product and inventory administration use the Admin API with the required permissions.

How do I connect Shopify to my website?
If your whole shop runs in Shopify, product pages and checkout need no extra website connection. A separate campaign or content site may only need a link to the Shopify product.
Want a custom product listing and cart on that separate site? Retrieve products through the Storefront API, build a cart and use its checkout URL. Decide how to show market-specific prices and availability; the actual checkout remains authoritative.
