SendGrid integration
Want to send confirmations and account emails from your website? Twilio SendGrid can send them through SMTP or an API. See which route fits your process or book a conversation.
What is SendGrid?
Twilio SendGrid sends email from websites and applications. Examples include an acknowledgement after an enquiry, an order email or a password reset message.
Your site decides when to send and which details to include. SendGrid handles the sending; an accepted send request does not mean the recipient has read the message.
Two sending routes
Use SMTP or the Mail Send API for application email.
Mail after an action
Send a message after saving an enquiry or order.
Your sender domain
Set up sender authentication for your domain.
Follow up on errors
Make a failed send attempt visible to your team.
How do I connect SendGrid to my website?
SendGrid supports transactional email through SMTP and the Mail Send API. Both use an API key; sending from your own domain also requires sender authentication with DNS records.
Have your site save the enquiry or order before sending the email. Keep the action status separate from the send attempt. If sending fails, the original enquiry should remain available for follow-up.
Common challenges with email integrations
How does Super Interactive connect SendGrid to your website?
We decide which stored action should trigger each email and choose SMTP or the Mail Send API. Then we configure the sender and the message data.
We test a successful enquiry with a failed email attempt separately. Your team can then find and follow up on the enquiry without processing an order or form again.
