Meta/Facebook API integration

What is the Meta/Facebook API?

The Facebook Graph API gives applications access to selected Facebook data and actions, depending on the account, granted permissions and chosen feature. For a website, that could mean displaying Page content or starting a publication from your own system.

Those are different routes. Reading content needs different permissions and management decisions from posting a message. If a token expires or permission changes, the website needs a clear response and someone responsible for fixing access.

One defined channel action

Choose whether the connection reads information or publishes it.

Content on your website

Show only channel content that helps visitors.

Permissions made clear

Record which account and permissions the feature uses.

A useful fallback

Decide what visitors see if access is temporarily lost.

How do I connect the Meta/Facebook API to my website?

Start with one specific Facebook Page feature. An app uses access tokens and the permissions required for that feature. Check that your organisation controls the right account and can obtain the necessary access before deciding what the website can retrieve or publish.

Agree who manages the connection and what happens when a token expires or publication fails. A Facebook Page connection does not automatically grant access to Instagram, ads or private messages; those are separate products and permissions.

Common challenges with communication integrations

01

A message does not always reach the intended place.

02

Missing permissions or expired access can interrupt the connection.

03

A failed message or publication can go unnoticed without a clear owner.

04

Messages can expose details that are not meant for every audience.

How does Super Interactive connect the Meta/Facebook API to your website?

We choose one task with your communications team, such as displaying Page content or preparing a post from your own system. We then check which account access and permissions are actually available. That avoids building a page around data the app cannot use.

We also make lost access or failed publication visible to your team. Someone can then act, and visitors are not silently shown outdated information.
