What is Magento?
Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce are related ecommerce platforms. Adobe Commerce is the commercial edition; the exact API and features depend on your edition and hosting model.
The shop manages products, variants, cart and orders. Adobe Commerce has REST APIs for this data, but permissions and URLs differ between its cloud service and traditional PaaS environment.

How do I connect Magento to my website?
If the current storefront works well, a separate site may only need to link to the right product page. For a custom product display or another system, you can use the available Commerce APIs.
First establish the edition and where the shop runs. Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service has different endpoint URLs and authentication from Adobe Commerce on PaaS. Then decide which product, stock or order data another site needs.
