What is iDEAL?
iDEAL is a Dutch online payment method through the customer’s bank. The move to iDEAL | Wero began in 2026. According to iDEAL, existing checkout continues to work in the first phase while payment providers handle technical changes.

How do I connect iDEAL to my website?
Activate iDEAL with a participating provider or acquirer. Your site starts a payment with an order reference, and the customer pays through their bank. The provider returns the outcome through your chosen integration.
Since 2026, iDEAL | Wero has been appearing gradually on payment pages. iDEAL says merchants do not need to rebuild their existing checkout in the first phase. Coordinate visible names and later changes with your provider.
